Phasmophobia’s Version 1.0 has been delayed to the second half of 2027

Kinetic Games has updated the roadmap for Phasmophobia. The studio has detailed some new features and, most importantly, announced a delay for its 4-player online cooperative psychological horror game.

Version 1.0, originally expected this year, will now launch in the second half of 2027 alongside the Switch 2 version. This delay is necessary to allow the developers to deliver a title that is “true to our vision, high-quality standards and provides the experience for players that we’ve always wanted.” Next year, Kinetic Games promises to provide regular updates on development progress.

Before that, starting this July 2026, the 13 Willow Street map will be completely redesigned. Quality-of-life improvements will also be implemented during the same period and in August. In October, the game will switch to the Unity 6 engine, and the Crimson Eye event will return.

During the month of November, the player’s avatar will receive visual enhancements. Finally, December 2026 will mark the redesign of the 42 Edgefield Road map and the return of the Winter’s Jest event.
