Capcom is reportedly not interested in remaking Resident Evil 5 and 6

For those who were expecting announcements of remakes for the fifth and sixth installments of the famous Resident Evil franchise, it seems that won’t be happening anytime soon, despite the high quality of the remakes Capcom usually releases.

In fact, according to rumors on [ResetEra](https://www.resetera.com/threads/dusk-golem-there-isnt-any-drive-to-do-a-re5-remake-at-capcom.1554202/page-9#post -156672862) originating from Dusk Golem, an insider known for his insights into the franchise, Capcom has still not mentioned these projects, even though the company typically plans its upcoming projects five years in advance.

Furthermore, he provided details regarding Resident Evil Code Veronica and even Resident Evil Zero Remake.

“Veronica and Zero Remake will tie into Requiem, but honestly that has a lot more to do with the fact they were in dev at the same time as Requiem than any master plan idea, and Requiem specifically sets up Veronica & RE:0 to tie more into itself.”

We had also mentioned in a previous article that the story of Resident Evil Code Veronica would be reworked, which makes the rumors that the games are connected even more plausible.
