An insider has poured cold water over leaked GTA 6 prices from a Portuguese retailer, which shows listings for five different editions.
With GTA 6 pre-orders set to go live on Thursday, June 25, the big question heading into this week is how much it will cost.
There have been rumours the sequel could cost upwards of £100, but Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has repeatedly said how he’s aiming to make the price ‘very reasonable’ for what’s offered.
The definition of ‘reasonable’ depends greatly on your point of view but, over the weekend, a Portuguese retailer seemingly helped define those parameters, with price listings for GTA 6.
As shared on Reddit, retailer Fnac listed five different physical SKUs under the placeholder names RS1, RS2, RS3, etc. All of these carried a November 19 release date, so people assumed the ‘RS’ is a codename referring to developer Rockstar.
These listings, which now appear to have been removed, had prices attached. The lowest was €89.99 (£78), while the most expensive carried a €199.99 (£173) price tag. The others were €99.99, €109.99, and €119.99.

It’s unclear why there would be five different variations – especially as most games today typically have no more than three different SKUs, if you include an expensive collector’s edition – but the lowest price is the same as a physical copy of Mario Kart World. So, if legit, it’s possible the standard edition of GTA 6 could be £74.99 in the UK.
However, reliable insider billbil-kun, who is known for accurately leaking game prices and other retail details ahead of time, has since claimed these prices are ‘random’ placeholders.
In a post on X, the insider says the pages are placeholders because the EAN (European Article Number) codes don’t contain traditional prefixes for games from publisher Take-Two.
Are you willing to pay £100 for GTA 6?

Yes, take all my money!
-
No, my children must eat
Billbil-kun’s track record is one of the most reliable around, so there’s little reason to doubt them. But there’s still a chance these potentially random prices could line-up with reality.
With pre-orders set to go up in a few days, we don’t have long to wait for confirmation from Rockstar either way. GTA 6 is set to launch across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19.
