Astro Bot is a big commercial success, with approximately 4.3 million copies sold

Astro Bot, which got crowned Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, is also a commercial success. Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics has released new sales figures for the PS5 exclusive.

According to the report, Team Asobi’s title has sold 4.3 million units since its launch in September 2024. It is said to have generated approximately $250 million, while its budget is estimated at less than $100 million. Thus, Sony may have made a handsome profit thanks to this platformer.

Although Astro Bot got off to a somewhat slow start, sales have been steady over time, with no fewer than 600,000 copies sold this year alone (approximately 100,000 per month).
