Claude Guillemot, one of the co-founders of Ubisoft, has died in a plane crash

In 1986, the five Guillemot brothers founded Ubisoft. The French publisher is now led by Yves Guillemot. Sadly, tragedy struck this week with the passing of one of the co-founders.

We have learned of the death of Claude Guillemot in the crash of his private plane on Friday, June 19, in a field in the town of La Baule, France. The second person on board the aircraft also lost their life.

Claude Guillemot was the CEO of Guillemot Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of interactive entertainment hardware and accessories.

Our thoughts are with his family and all his loved ones.
