When the Steam Controller came out last May, it quickly sold out. Thus, Valve had to implement a pre-order system to streamline purchases.
In a new blog post, the American company has provided additional information regarding these pre-orders. The Steam Controller page now shows an estimate time for when the customer will get the email allowing them to order the controller, based on when the pre-order was placed.
Three different timeframes are outlined:
- by September 2026
- by December 2026
- in 2027
If you place a reservation now, the shipping date will definitely be in 2027. A more specific timeframe will be provided at a later date. In any case, Valve states that it has no intention of discontinuing production of the Steam Controller.
