Valve has revamped the Steam homepage

After some beta testing, Steam’s new homepage was finally rolled out this week. It introduces various changes designed to create a more cohesive look and provide a consistent layout across the different sections.

Now, recommended games are accompanied by a short video and a summary of the ratings each title has received. This provides a more comprehensive overview. Additionally, two new sections dedicated to DLC and one to games from our wishlist that are on sale have been added.

Also worth noting is the new personalized calendar on the homepage, which lets you discover new releases based on your preferences. The Discover section has also been updated for faster browsing.

Finally, navigation with a controller has been improved, as has the mouse-over functionality on images. Game screenshots are now in high definition, and if you keep scrolling, you get more recommendations.
