Dragonwilds Breaks RuneScape’s Console Absence After 25 Years, Lands on PS5 With Day-One PlayStation Plus Drop Later in 2026

During today’s State of Play, independent UK developer Jagex announced that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will be released on Sony’s PlayStation 5 console later this year and will also join the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription service tiers at launch. It’ll be the first console installment in the fantasy franchise, largely known for the PC MMORPG RuneScape, which originally launched in 2001.
