A highly anticipated PS5 game has been delayed until next year, leaving fans waiting for the time being.
What long-awaited PS5 game has been delayed?
In a recent update on the game’s Steam page, developer inZOI Studio, behind the life simulation game inZOI, revealed that the game’s PlayStation 5 release is being delayed. In the lengthy post, the company reveals that inZOI will now be releasing on PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2027. The game was originally expected to release sometime this year, but according to the developers, the expectations for making a game on PC and console have them holding it back.
“Originally, we hoped to follow a similar approach for the console version. However, as we studied the console player base and platform environment more closely, we realized expectations for console games are often quite different,” wrote the company in its statement. “Console players are generally accustomed to receiving a more complete and polished experience from the very beginning, without major setbacks during the process.”
The delay, according to inZOI Studio, will allow the company to bring its “large, immersive cities full of autonomous Zois to console hardware while carefully optimizing performance for fixed system specifications. We are also redesigning the experience around the DualSense controller rather than keyboard and mouse controls, while considering gameplay on larger TV screens viewed from a greater distance than typical monitors or laptops.”
InZOI is a life simulation game from South Korea that has emerged as a serious competitor to The Sims. It features realistic graphics, with cities inspired by real-world locations.
“InZOI features a fully functional community simulation experience where characters, known as Zois, live their lives with their own free will,” reads an official overview. “Zois perform actions and build relationships based on their personalities and life experiences, leading to unexpected developments such as rumors, trends, and disease.”
InZOI currently features over 250 customization options for hair, skin, physique, outfits, accessories, nail art, and more. There is also a large variety of architectural objects to create your own spaces and structures.
A PS Store page for InZOI is live now, with the ability to wishlist. Price and PS5 Pro support have yet to be confirmed.

It’s always tough to hear about delays, especially for a game many have been looking forward to. Hopefully, the extra time will lead to an even better experience when it finally releases. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
I completely understand your frustration! Delays can be disappointing, but they often lead to a more polished final product. It’s interesting to see how this trend of postponing releases has become more common as developers prioritize quality over rushing to meet deadlines.
polished final product. It’s interesting to note that many games that faced delays in the past ended up being some of the best in their franchises. Hopefully, this extra time will allow the developers to deliver a truly exceptional experience!
That’s a great point! It’s true that some delays can lead to a much better gaming experience. It’ll be interesting to see how this game evolves in the extra time they have to refine it. Let’s hope it lives up to the hype when it finally launches!
It really can make a difference! Plus, with the extra time, developers might be able to incorporate player feedback from the beta stages, which could enhance gameplay even further. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it!
