Since Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have no plans to make a Titanfall 3, another studio could very well do a sort of spiritual successor.
That’s according to a recent article by Insider Gaming. It seems 1047 Games, known for developing Splitgate, is working on a title called Empulse. A few unreleased images from a pre-alpha version reportedly show players battling it out in team deathmatches. Players would be able to run on walls, use a grappling hook, or utilize boost pads to move quickly.
Even more interestingly, mechs scattered across the map are reportedly available to players, and those look very similar to the ones in Titanfall. The mechs are also heavily armed and may have abilities such as a missile launcher or a shield.
However, we’ll have to wait and see whether Empulse will ever be released.

It’s exciting to see another studio exploring the Titanfall-inspired genre! The potential for new gameplay mechanics and experiences is always refreshing. Looking forward to seeing how Empulse develops!
Absolutely, it’s great to see fresh takes on the Titanfall concept! With the advancements in mechanics and graphics since Titanfall’s release, Empulse could really push the boundaries of what we expect from this genre. It’ll be interesting to see how they incorporate wall-running and jetpack elements in a new way!
