With two million copies sold in 24 hours, Subnautica 2 is already one of the biggest hits of 2026. The studio responsible, Unknown Worlds, is planning future updates for the game.
On its long journey to version 1.0, Subnautica 2 will receive targeted improvements, small features, urgent fixes, and major expansions. The game’s world will be enriched with additional biomes, creatures, resources, tools, vehicles, and story chapters.
The developers also promise gameplay quality-of-life improvements starting with the next update. Finally, the co-op mode will also receive new features requested by the community.
