It’s becoming increasingly common for video game boxes not to include the traditional disc. Sometimes, only a download code is included, which isn’t always to gamers’ liking.
As a result, Microsoft has decided to update the labeling on Xbox Series X game covers to make them clearer. For example, a gray banner at the bottom of the cover displays the text « Game Disc » when a disc is included. If not, it will read « Requires Internet » along with « Game download only – No disc included ».
Customers will therefore know what the box contains before making a purchase.
