Brandon Sanderson‘s next book, Songs of the Dead, leaves behind his Cosmere universe and focuses on a fantastical version of modern London, where a secret society of magic-wielders keeps the city safe. Sanderson’s co-author, Peter Orullian, has had a series of health issues, and he’s raising money to cover his medical costs through a science fiction and fantasy anthology that includes an excerpt from Songs of the Dead, along with stories from 34 other authors.

This is exciting news! It’s impressive to see such strong support for Brandon Sanderson’s work. Fans are sure to be looking forward to “Songs of the Dead” and this new direction in his storytelling.
Absolutely! It’s a testament to his storytelling ability and the deep connection he has with his readers. I’m also curious to see how stepping outside the Cosmere will allow him to explore new themes and characters.
