Fallout 5 Exclusivity Leaves Gamers Frustrated

It has now been over a decade since Fallout 4 launched, making the wait for Fallout 5 enough of an endurance test already, with many fans likely wondering if they’ll ever see it in their lifetime. However, the possibility of its platform exclusivity is just as much of a concern. Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda and the precedent firmly set by Starfield, the likelihood that the next mainline journey into the Wasteland’s initial launch will take place exclusively on Xbox and PC is high. For millions of PlayStation loyalists who have spent hundreds of hours exploring the Capital Wasteland or the Commonwealth on Sony hardware, the realization that they could be left out of the next chapter is a bitter pill to swallow. Instead of looking forward to a triumphant return to a post-apocalyptic America, a massive chunk of the game’s player base is now staring at a vault door that could remain closed, no matter how much time passes between now and Fallout 5‘s launch.
