Battlefield 6 Is Finally Adding ARC Raiders’ Standout Feature, Rivalry Reborn

Battlefield 6’s next couple of seasons have already been planned out and they’re bringing some much-needed changes and content drops to the game.

Upon its launch last year, Battlefield 6 became one of the most-successful games in the series as it returned to what those games do best, large-scale warfare and copious amounts of destruction.

GAMINGbible recently got a sneak-peek at what’s to come next and there’s a lot to look forward to, including a feature the game has been sorely lacking especially in light of ARC Raiders’ success.

In future updates, several quality-of-life improvements are being introduced for the benefit of players.

These have been features fans have requested for quite some time so it’s nice to see the developers taking player feedback onboard.

They include: Leaderboards, Spectator Mode, Server Browser, and Reworks for existing maps. There’s one more though, and it’s a big one.

Proximity chat is a huge addition to the game as it not only lends itself well to the chaotic nature of your average Battlefield match, it also brings the game on par with ARC Raiders.

When ARC Raiders released hundreds of viral clips following players having fun interactions with strangers online, it was made all the more humorous because the conversations were happening via proximity chat.

Whether it be the echoey wails of your teammate getting caught and killed or players playing the Batman theme as they stand atop a rooftop, they were endless fun and contributed greatly to the game’s popularity.

This feature coming to Battlefield 6 is hugely exciting especially since both games have had quite a competitive rivalry over the last few months.

A release date for proximity chat and the other quality-of-life features wasn’t shared.

Battlefield 6 Players Have A Lot Of Content Drops Ahead Of Them

In terms of new content, there’s plenty of that coming to the game too. Across three more seasons, players will get to revisit some iconic maps from Battlefield’s long history such as Railway to Golmud and Wake Island, in addition to brand-new maps built especially for the game.

Alongside these will come new modes like Ranked Play, and the biggest addition by far Naval Warfare, which will see players fighting on land, sea and in the air for the first time in Battlefield 6.

There’s a lot to look forward to in Battlefield 6 this year, so whether you’ve been on hiatus or are yet to try the game, now is as good of a time as any to jump in.
