Subnautica 2 is no longer being published by Krafton, but rather by Unknown Worlds Entertainment

The dispute between Krafton and the former executives of Unknown Worlds Entertainment may not be over yet. Former CEO Ted Gill was reinstated at the studio last month, which has called into question the release window for Subnautica 2, set for May 2026.

Now, another change has affected the deep-sea survival title. It is no longer being published directly by Krafton, but by Unknown Worlds Entertainment. Yes, it’s now self-published by the developer itself.

We donโ€™t yet know what caused this shift or whether it will have an impact on Subnautica 2 at all.

It’s interesting to see the shift in publishing for Subnautica 2. The changes in management and ownership can definitely impact a game’s development. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds!
