Krafton Shutting Down PUBG Blindspot Just Weeks After February Launch

The multiplayer title entered early access on February 5 but has struggled to capture an audience. While the game pulled a respectable concurrent player count of 3,251 during the first weekend after launch, interest in the title quickly fell and has steadily declined since. At the time of writing, there are only 148 players in the game according to SteamDB. According to a blog post on developer Krafton’s website, the 5v5 top-down tactical spinoff is shutting down on March 30.

It’s always tough to see a game shut down, especially so soon after launch. It’s a reminder of how competitive the gaming landscape can be. Hopefully, the team can take the lessons learned and create something even better in the future.
