Released alongside the console on June 5, 2025, the Switch 2’s GameCube emulator (available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers) had a few issues until now.
It turns out that several of these issues were fixed this week following the addition of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness to the console’s library. We can note an improvement in sensitivity and a reduction in input lag, which was previously quite pronounced.
Additionally, the joystick detection area has been adjusted to more closely match the original controller. A CRT shader now supports HDR, and the overall image rendering has been refined to make it look more authentic.
