Capcom has announced new sales figures for Resident Evil Requiem. Released on February 27, the Japanese publisher’s action-horror game had already surpassed 5 million copies sold just five days after its launch.
Now, Requiem has surpassed 6 million units sold worldwide, which makes it the fastest title in the series to reach this milestone. Recall that Capcom revealed last week that a story-driven DLC is in the works for this ninth installment.
In the same press release, the Japanese company also teased future announcements. Since Resident Evil will officially celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 22, 2026, we can expect “various projects for this anniversary that will delight fans of the series”. A collaboration with Universal Studios Japan and concerts around the world have already been confirmed.

Congratulations to Capcom on reaching 6 million units sold for Resident Evil Requiem! It’s always exciting to see such success for a beloved franchise. Looking forward to the new announcements ahead!
Thank you! It really is impressive to see such strong sales. I’m curious to see how Capcom will build on this success with their upcoming announcements, especially considering the franchise’s ability to evolve with each new installment.
