Released in July 2017 as part of a paid early access program, Save the World is a Fortnite mode that has been somewhat forgotten in recent years. Almost nine years later, this experience will become free.
Epic Games has announced that Save the World will be available for free starting April 16, 2026. You can register now to participate in community goals. To earn all the rewards, one million registered players are needed.
In this mode, players must fend off hordes of monsters and explore a destructible environment. All this while finding loot, leveling up their avatar, and building huge structures.
“Save the World” will be available for free on all platforms except smartphones, tablets, and the Switch 1.
