After Virtuos’ Oblivion Remastered, many fans are hoping for a similar treatment of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. With the TV series introducing a new audience to the saga, we imagine Bethesda will be looking to capitalize on this very favorable trend.
For now, Bethesda Game Studios (BGS) has said nothing about these possible remasters. If they do exist, it’s a safe bet that development has been outsourced to an external studio, since The Elder Scrolls VI is taking up a large part of BGS’s teams’ time.
In fact, a few days ago, Iron Galaxy Studios posted a rather surprising message on social media. It reads: “Today’s our February company meeting. It’s time to catch up with what the company’s been up to and what’s coming up next for IG.”
More importantly, this post comes with a photo of two computer screens displaying the Please Stand By message from Fallout: New Vegas. Is this a not-so-subtle teaser or just a simple mistake? It’s hard to say. In the past, Iron Galaxy has worked on Bethesda projects such as The Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim on Switch, and Fallout 76.
