Less than a month after adding Enigma DRM to Resident Evil 4 Remake on PC, Capcom has removed it

In early February, Capcom made a change to the PC version of the Resident Evil 4 remake. The publisher decided to remove Denuvo and replace it with Enigma DRM.

This decision caused significant performance issues, with frame rates dropping by 10 to 50% depending on the specs. Well aware of the inconvenience, the Japanese publisher has removed Enigma DRM on March 3, 2026.

As a result, Resident Evil 4 should now run better on our computers.
