You think Fire Red and Leaf Green are the only classic Pokémon games coming to Switch for the franchise 30th anniversary? Think again, as Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is coming to Switch Online + Expansion Pack in March, only playable on Nintendo Switch 2.
Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness was a successor to Genius Sonority’s first GameCube title, Pokémon Colosseum – strangely, this has been confirmed for Switch Online previously, and was the earlier title, but hasn’t been released yet – taking the setting of Orre from that game’s adventure mode and spinning out a new tale. New sightings of Shadow Pokémon around the region have you heading out with a Snag Machine to try and capture them and restore their hearts to normal. However, while on this mission for good, you’ll run into the crime syndicate responsible for the Shadow Pokémon.
