Last August, former members of RedOctane, the company behind the Guitar Hero franchise, announced the creation of RedOctane Games. Their goal was to create a new rhythm game.
This week, we finally get to see Stage Tour, a music game currently in development that is set to be released during the holiday season. The ambition is to design a “long-term platform created in collaboration with the community”.
Players will, of course, be able to purchase physical instruments to plug into their PCs to play. A multi-year partnership with Gibson has been signed. Controllers and keyboards will also be supported.
Closed alpha testing for Stage Tour will begin this summer.
