Akira Yamaoka hasn’t composed the music for Silent Hill: Townfall

This year, Konami and Annapurna Interactive will release Silent Hill: Townfall on PS5 and PC. This promising new installment will be playable in first-person and will be set in Scotland.

Unfortunately, an iconic figure from the franchise will be missing from this episode. On Reddit, a user met (with photos to prove it) composer Akira Yamaoka. He confirmed that he is not working on the game, but is currently working on the remake of the first Silent Hill in development at Bloober Team.

In the past, Yamaoka has composed the soundtrack for almost every installment in the series.
