New Xbox CEO Says She Hears Fan Feedback About Wanting Exclusive Games

A day after taking over as Xbox CEO, Asha Sharma spent time responding to fans on X about their favorite games and general feedback for the video game division she now oversees. One particular person brought up “how important exclusive games are” and ended with “Xbox games must be only on Xbox.” Sharma had a straightforward reply: “Hear you.”

Obviously, this doesn’t mean Xbox is changing course a month after announcing Fable and Forza Horizon 6 are coming to PS5. Or there’s the fact that this month’s Nintendo Direct ended with big Xbox games, like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Fallout 4. But Sharma’s response definitely stands out in comparison to former Xbox president Sarah Bond, who called exclusive games “antiquated” late last year. Bond has left Microsoft, alongside Phil Spencer’s surprise retirement.

Arguably the biggest multiplatform release for Xbox is on the way later this year. Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to release sometime in 2026, coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The remake will mark the first time the FPS franchise has ever come to PlayStation. The plan is for Halo games to come out on PlayStation going forward, too.
