During this week’s State of Play, Santa Monica Studio officially announced the remake of the first three God of War games. This project, which is currently in the early stages of development, is apparently not the only one in production at the studio.
On ResetEra, a user asked insider Shinobi602 if God of War Trilogy Remake is the title Cory Barlog is currently working on. The answer is a resounding “no”.
Shinobi602 even added that Santa Monica’s next big game would be “not far from being ready (barring any unforeseen circumstances, of course)”. The official announcement is expected to be made later this year.
The latest rumors suggest that it will not be a new license or a science fiction game.
