We may have another pleasant surprise in store for us in 2026. Mewgenics got released on PC on February 10. It currently has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews, with 96% of the 5,051 reviews posted online being favorable. Its OpenCritic and Metacritic average is 89%.
In addition, the game, created by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel (the creators of The Binding of Isaac), sold approximately 152,000 copies in just six hours. In Mewgenics, you must create an army of cats through a selective breeding system. Then, you must take part in turn-based battles. The game features a 200-hour campaign, more than 10 character classes, 900 items, and 200 different enemies.
Its retail price is set at just over €26.
