Riot Games has shared an update on the future of its game, Riftbound: The League of Legends Trading Card Game, including news on competitive play, upcoming set releases, preview timelines, and languages.
The update highlights a particularly expansive year for the game’s organized play. Regional qualifiers have been scheduled worldwide in cities such as Lille, Atlanta, Sydney, Vancouver, Barcelona, Singapore, Los Angeles, and more. The qualifiers will take place throughout the whole year, starting in February and ending at the tail end of September. There will also be additional competitions, such as the as-yet unscheduled 2026 China Minor & Major tournaments and the NA and EMEA Regional Championships.

Riftbound has also introduced two more new sets to the total deck, starting with the fourth set, Riftbound: Vendetta, which is releasing globally on July 31st. Vendetta will also have English and Simplified Chinese releases synchronized for the first time, and it introduces Riftbound’s first enemy faction pairings.
The fifth set, Riftbound: Radiance, will release later in the year, following the fourth set on October 23rd. This set will also include fan-favourite characters Ekko and Seraphine. Preview seasons are scheduled to roll out throughout the year, beginning with Riftbound: Unleashed previews on March 16, followed by Riftbound: Vendetta this Summer and Riftbound: Radiance in the Fall.
Two new languages have also been added to the game: French and Chinese Traditional, added in mid-year and late year, respectively. These announcements are all part of Riftbound’s first State of the Game update, where the team developing the game unveils what’s happening behind the scenes. The State of the Game update is meant to show how the game is evolving, what they’ve learned since launch, and how player feedback is shaping what comes next. Make sure to enjoy this year’s additions to the card game, and if you want all the details, check out the official release.Â
