Unfortunately, this was to be expected, as Intrepid Studios has seen all of its teams laid off in recent days. As a result, Ashes of Creation will disappear completely, and Steam has already taken action.
The MMORPG is no longer available for purchase on Valve’s store. Users who have requested a refund have been reimbursed. It is therefore strongly recommended that you send a ticket to Steam immediately.
For players who receive an automatic message stating that they have played for more than two hours and are therefore not eligible, there is a workaround. Go to the Support tab on Steam, then select Purchases, go to your complete history, select Ashes of Creation, and choose I have a question about this purchase.
You will then need to request a refund, admitting that you have played for more than two hours, but specifying that the game has shut down its servers and is therefore no longer playable.
