The 5v5 mode for Highguard was added on January 30 following lots of requests from players and was only supposed to be available for some time.
However, user feedback during the test weekend prompted Wildlight Entertainment to keep this mode permanently. The developers say they noticed “a fairly even distribution between 3v3 and 5v5 modes”, which influenced their decision.
Unfortunately, Highguard seems to be struggling to retain its players, with a peak of only 8,404 people connected simultaneously on Steam in the last 24 hours.
