Being released back on January 30, 2025, the GeForce RTX 5090 has celebrated its first birthday. Unfortunately, it all has a bitter taste for those who would have liked to purchase NVIDIA’s GPU.
The American company’s flagship product had a difficult start due to a global stock shortage. As a result, availability was significantly delayed. With 32 GB of GDDR7 memory, the RTX 5090 is still the most powerful Blackwell configuration. To benefit from this raw power, you had to shell out around $2,000 last year.
Unfortunately, memory shortages have drastically changed the situation. Now, the lowest price on the Newegg website is $3,699 for an MSI RTX 5090 Liquid. Meanwhile, other online stores simply have no stock.
The new generation of GPUs is not expected to be released until mid-2027.
