PS5 Pro support has been confirmed for a promising upcoming action adventure game that’s due out in March 2026. Developer Pearl Abyss has said that Crimson Desert will feature dedicated PS5 Pro enhancements, which is great news after a spate of high-profile releases came without support.
Crimson Desert PS5 Pro enhancements will be detailed in due course
In a recent interview with YouTuber Destin, Pearl Abyss director Will Powers said that Crimson Desert is currently being optimized, and when it comes to game performance, there will understandably be some differences between consoles and PC. However, there will be PS5 Pro enhancements, which will be detailed ahead of launch alongside more information on graphics and performance on both consoles and PC.
Crimson Desert will release on March 19, 2026. It was originally meant to be a prequel to Black Desert, but it is now a stand-alone single-player game.
“Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game set in the beautiful yet brutal continent of Pywel,” reads an official overview. “Take on the role of the Greymane Kliff and embark on a journey across the continent to reclaim everything you’ve lost. Explore uncharted lands, encounter mysterious factions, and experience firsthand a world that is as breathtaking as it is merciless.”
Crimson Desert is open for preorders now on the PS Store, with PS5 exclusive bonuses on offer.
