PS5 players are being treated to yet another console-exclusive game; this time, an action RPG that’s a blend of Stellar Blade and God of War. China is the new Japan when it comes to game development right now, with yet another studio from the country announcing the promising upcoming title, Genigods: Nezha.

We’ve seen a lot of outlets mention Genigods: Nezha and God of War in the same headline, but frankly, we get more Stellar Blade vibes than GoW. Gauging by the response to its debut trailer, players agree with us.
In Genigods: Nezha, players take on the role of “the Spirit Pearl — the first life forged by Nuwa, the Goddess of Life, from earth, water, and fire — who is reincarnated as Nezha.” “Immerse yourself in iconic tales of Chinese genesis mythology, battle against Colossal Gods, and master the one-of-a-kind combat of Chinese-style celestial showdowns,” says developer Genigods Lab.
Players will be able to switch between ground and aerial combat, and will have mythic abilities, unique skills and combos, and various creative weapons at their disposal.
“In Genigods: Nezha, you do not watch the myth. You live it,” Genigods Lab added.
The game will release on the PS5 and PC sometime in 2028.
