Shortly after announcing the release of Tomodachi Life: A Dream Life for April 16, 2026, Nintendo issued a statement confirming the restriction of a feature related to the game.
The Japanese company stated that image sharing features will be restricted at launch. The manufacturer justified this decision by explaining that Tomodachi Life: A Dream Life offers a great deal of freedom of action, which can lead to scenes that are *”humorous, surprising, or unpredictable”.
Since these scenes could be taken out of context and therefore misunderstood once shared, Nintendo wants to restrict their online dissemination. The aim is to offer “welcoming and enjoyable for everyone” and to ensure that players can enjoy the game **comfortably by all players”*.
