Last April, just a few weeks after its release on consoles and PC, Split Fiction was already being offered a film adaptation. Amazon MGM Studios will produce the film directed by Jon M. Chu (Wicked) and starring Sydney Sweeney in the lead role.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) are in charge of the screenplay. According to Moviezine, Josef Fares, the director of the video game, has received a first draft of the screenplay.
“I got the first draft of the script today, but you know, in Hollywood, there are so many rumors. I usually say, ‘I’ll believe it when I see it.'”
Fares also said he met with Sydney Sweeney, who he described as “super relaxed and very enthusiastic” about being part of the project.
