Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming to Phasmophobia in 2026

We now know what Kinetic Games has in store for Phasmophobia this year. The studio has unveiled the roadmap for its cooperative psychological horror game.

Among the major updates are version 1.0 of the title, which will bring new features to the lore, a character overhaul, the use of Unity 6, and the launch of a Switch 2 edition.

As for the maps, 6 Tanglewood Drive and 13 Willow Street will be completely redone. A brand new map will also be added. Finally, one new event will be added and three others will return.

Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games, expressed his ambitions for Phasmophobia in 2026.

“This year is set to be a big one for Phasmophobia, and we are so excited for our 1.0 launch, which will be one of the biggest moments since we released the game.

We are constantly working on creating a truly immersive experience for ghost hunters, and have been developing the game with this in mind. Previous updates including Chronicle and our upcoming Player Character update have all been steps in fulfilling our vision, and we hope the 1.0 launch will feel as fresh and exciting as when the game first launched back in 2020.”
