Very bad news for Comcept, the studio founded by Keiji Inafune in 2010 and which brought us the controversial Mighty No. 9. The Japanese company closed this month.
The company was officially dissolved by a shareholder decision on January 13, 2026, which was made public this week. Back in 2017, the studio collaborated with LEVEL-5 to form the Osaka-based entity LEVEL5 comcept. All of its activities were then transferred to LEVEL-5 when Inafune left in 2024.
During his career, Keiji Inafune worked on numerous successful titles at Capcom, such as Mega Man and Onimusha.
