Grand Theft Auto VI is finally set to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series S|X this November 19. However, this launch could be marred by the absence of physical copies in stores.
This rumor comes from the website PPE.pl, which has previously reported accurate information about Oblivion Remastered, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PS5. A source that manages physical game sales in Europe has reportedly confirmed that Take-Two does not plan to release GTA VI in boxed form.
Initially, the sixth installment will only be released in digital format and possibly later in physical format.
“We are hearing more and more that the physical version will not be released simultaneously with the digital version in order to prevent leaks.
We are receiving conflicting information: some say that the physical version will arrive three to four weeks after the digital release, while others say it won’t be until early 2027. More information will be available in mid-February.”
