The PS Store has dropped a free demo for an interesting upcoming PS5 game that’s in the final stages of development. Baptiste is a psychological horror game in which a mother and her son are stuck with a creepy doll in their mysterious new home.
Kickstarter-funded PS5 game Baptiste gets free demo, no PS Plus required
Although Baptiste was unveiled in March 2025, it wasn’t until last October that developer Firenut Games launched a crowdfunding campaign for it on Kickstarter. The project was funded successfully by November, having raised €6,118 via 123 backers.
Now, Baptiste is in the final stages of development, and all PS5 players can download a free demo from the PS Store — no PS Plus required.
“Devastated by a family tragedy, Sara and her son, Tom, seek a new start at Jagged Shore Cliff, a remote cliff in the United Kingdom,” an official overview reads. “In their new and mysterious home, a dusty cabinet holds Baptiste, an unsettling doll accompanied by an ominous warning: ‘Never release this from its glass prison.’ What ought to have been a shelter becomes the scene of a nightmare that defies all logic.”
Baptiste will launch in “early 2026.” PS Plus Premium users can stream the demo.
