A 2023 PS5 game that polarized players is at its lowest price right now in a new PS Store deal that’ll end in February. Immortals of Aveum is a single-player shooter published by Electronic Arts and developed by Ascendant Studios, whose fate remains unknown. The game is currently 90% off.
Immortals of Aveum is just $6.99 in limited-time PS Store deal
PS5 players can grab Immortals of Aveum for just $6.99 until February 5, following which its price will revert to an eye-popping $69.99. PS Plus members should first check their libraries, as Immortals of Aveum was previously given out as a monthly freebie.
“Immortals of Aveum is a single-player first-person magic shooter that tells the story of Jak as he joins an elite order of battlemages to save a world on the edge of abyss,” an overview reads. “With legions of soldiers on both sides of the Everwar, he must uncover the mysteries of Aveum’s troubled past, if there’s any hope for saving its future.”
Immortals of Aveum earned an average reception upon release. It’s not a bad game (PSLS loved it), but it did suffer from lackluster execution. I think the IP has great potential, but sadly, it doesn’t look like EA will give it another chance.
Developer Ascendant Studios was reportedly almost wiped out following Immortal of Aveum’s poor commercial performance. A closure was not officially confirmed, and its present state is not known.
