Sony is offering up to 25% off PS Plus subscriptions to select players, and the discount can be used multiple times to stack. From what we’ve gathered, the offer only applies to 12-month memberships and is reserved for the Extra and Premium tiers.
How to stack PS Plus subscription with January 2026 discount offer
Once again, these are targeted offers, so not all PS Plus subscribers will receive them. However, the good news is that the discount isn’t specific to one region, as we’ve seen reports from various countries, including the U.S.
The offer is apparently triggered for players whose memberships are expiring now or those who turn off auto-renew i.e. cancel their subscription. Once you avail the discount and renew your membership, turn off auto-renew again (Sony considers it a “cancellation” but your membership will remain active until expiry). The discount will then become available again, and you can stack for the following year.
Unfortunately, Essential players are left out once again, but these offers are meant to drive players to the Extra and Premium tiers. As we’ve previously advised, PS4 users who don’t wish to buy a PS5 and use PS Plus should switch to the Extra tier. Essential offers no value for money as Sony is prioritizing PS5 games now.
