Although we’ve been waiting for a native PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for some time, it was the first entry that got one last year. As a result, many gamers are wondering whether the project is still alive.
According to insider Kiwi Talkz on X, Red Dead Redemption 2 next-gen is still in the works. He claims to know eight developers who have been working on it over the past few years. He adds that Rockstar wanted to release this version earlier, but that the last GTA VI delay may have disrupted everything internally.
Kiwi Talkz did not wish to say more due to Rockstar’s “heavily compartmentalized” organization, which could threaten the identity of his sources.
