Thanks to the huge success of Palworld, Pocketpair has become an extremely attractive Japanese studio for video game professionals. In order to recruit the best candidates, the company has a very specific way of recruiting its future game designers.
In a recent statement, Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe said that applicants are systematically asked to provide screenshots of their Steam library when submitting their resumes.
“At Pocketpair, we ask game designer candidates to submit screenshots of their playtime history on Steam. In fact, if you don’t play games on Steam at all, you won’t make it past the resume screening stage.”
