In September 2025, insider Nate the Hate (who just won the ‘Leaker of the Year’ award as voted by Reddit’s GamingLeaksAndRumors) shared the rumor that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, would launch this year on Microsoft’s Xbox Series S and X and Nintendo Switch 2.
