Several key ARC Raiders exploits have finally been patched by Embark Studios, and this may come as a relief or a disappointment.
Exploits are, at the end of the day, arguably a form of cheating, but that hasnât exactly stopped plenty of us from making the most out of several found within ARC Raiders.
If you fall into that category, you may have to change up your tactics as Update 1.12.0 has arrived, and itâs put an end to several glitches that you may be familiar with.
First of all, the update has âfixed an item duplication exploitâ and âan ammo duplication exploitâ which both relate to players dropping and reclaiming, you guessed it, items and ammo.
By doing so, they were previously able to double up on supplies. Well, even more so if you repeated the exploit.
Thatâs now been yeeted from the game though, so youâll have to gather supplies the old fashioned way.
Say Goodbye to That Pesky Stella Montis Exploit
The patch notes further refer to two other fixes.
âFixed some cases where players were able to damage others from behind geometry,â reads one note, while another adds, âFixed various out of bounds map locations on Stella Montisâ.

I canât say Iâve heard a ton of case studies pertaining to the first fix there, but it doesnât sound like that unusual of a fix.
Bullets clipping through scenery items isnât a new phenomenon, but it’s nice to see that issue has been erased.

As for the Stella Montis point, thatâs quite an infamous exploit thatâs been available in ARC Raiders for some time.
Stella Montis is easily one of the most intense maps you can find within ARC Raiders. Its maze-like structure makes for some wild encounters.
Of course, that experience hasnât been made any easier by the fact that players have been eliminated there by fellow players hiding in out-of-bounds positions.
Essentially, there are walls in the area which players have been able to glitch through.
From here, theyâve been taking out poor unsuspecting good-natured players who walk past the out-of-bounds folk, completely unaware that theyâre in imminent danger.
Personally, Iâm glad to see the end of the glitch.
Itâs interesting though that the patch notes say âvarious out of bounds map locationsâ, prompting you to wonder whether some remain. Surely theyâd say âallâ if that was the case?
Iâll also point out that only âsome casesâ of the former damage fix were applied, so thatâs also an issue we should expect to persist.
Update 1.12.0 is now readily available, so just make sure your client is up to date.
For the sneaky players amongst you, it may be time to cook up some new tactics. For those who play by the book, sleep easy knowing your opponents are going to have a much tougher time playing dirty.
