Clay is a base resource in Hytale, but unlike stone and wood, it’s incredibly well-hidden. Although you can find clay in the wild, a far more reliable source of clay would be a certain type of sandstone. Crafting clay is not as complex as you might think, and the end result, gorgeously colored walls, is absolutely worth the effort.
