PS Plus Games Quietly Being Removed and No One Knows Why

PS Plus games

Something’s been going on with the PS Plus Extra catalog, as a handful of games have disappeared from the service without notice, presumably due to a glitch that Sony never fixed. To be clear, these aren’t your standard departures because these removals were never planned, and the games remain playable only to those who downloaded them previously.

Quite a few PS Plus games went missing from the catalog and never returned

PlayStation LifeStyle has been banging the drums about this issue for at least a year, but the problem became more noticeable today because two of the games Sony claims are leaving PS Plus in February 2026 have actually already left in that if you tried to download them today, you’d be prompted to purchase them.

However, if said games are in your library because you previously claimed/downloaded them via the Extra catalog, you likely still have access to them, indicating that they weren’t supposed to be removed.

According to Sony, Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition will leave PS Plus in February, but the game — which joined the catalog in 2022 — has been missing since last year. Back in November 2025, I reported that both Spirit of the North and Totally Reliable Delivery Service were removed from the catalog without notice. And to this day, they haven’t returned.

Similarly, Sony says Carto will leave PS Plus in February. One problem: Carto doesn’t appear in the catalog anymore, and no one knows when it was removed.

On January 9, I was the first to report that Sega’s Endless Dungeon disappeared from the catalog without notice. The game hasn’t returned. Only those who already have it downloaded can play it.

As I’ve theorized before, this is likely a PS Store glitch that stems from Sony updating SKUs, but the problem is that the glitch doesn’t always get fixed, and members can’t access games that they’re supposed to have access to.

Mind you, there are hundreds of games in the catalog, so there are probably more games missing than the ones I’ve listed. Subscribers just haven’t noticed yet.

The only time I’ve seen Sony fix the glitch was in the case of Sayonara Wild Hearts.

Here’s hoping we get some answers, or at least a fix.
