First-Person Stardew Valley Exists, It Totally Works

First-Person Stardew Valley Exists, It Totally Works

Farming simulation games have been all the rage for many years, especially since Stardew Valley arrived to revolutionise the genre back in 2016.

Allowing players to tackle manual labour from the comfort of their own homes, farming simulators have been trying to push the boundaries of the genre but when it comes to first-person titles, they are few and far between.

After all, Stardew Valley, which is widely regarded as one of the best of all time, is only available in a top-down perspective, giving nods to some older releases such as Harvest Moon.

So, what would Stardew Valley feel like with a third-person mode, or even first-person?

Well, although we may never find out officially, one creator has found a way to give us the next best thing courtesy of the help of another beloved title.

Tiny Glade.

Released back in 2024, Tiny Glade is a small diorama builder where players are able to make their very own creations ranging from whimsical castles to cosy homesteads and everything in between.

Thanks to gridless building, the options really are endless for the budding architects out there and with no management, combat or goals, you will be able to sit back and relax with your very own creations.

Now in an incredible feat, Youtuber trashmarble has combined Stardew Valley and Tiny Glade to bring us insight into what a first-person mode could look like in the farming simulation title. Check it out here!

In a video titled ‘What if Stardew Valley was a first-person game? (A Tiny Glade movie)’, we can see a movie version of what the opening scenes of Stardew would look like in first-person with the whole farm recreated in Tiny Glade. Check it out here (or just jump to my favourite part at 9:37.)

We Kind Of Wish That This Was Its Own Game

Even using sounds and audio taken from Stardew Valley as well as the title card, it really does feel as though you have entered the game through an alternate reality.

From starting in your very-empty home to wandering outside to collect your first mail, everything has been captured and, I don’t know about you, but I kind of wish this was its own game entirely.

“3D Stardew doesn’t exist, it can’t hurt you, this is all made in a building game called Tiny Glade, every single sound you hear is extracted from SDV & painstakingly placed,” the video description reads.

“Every single map is handcrafted using the available materials in Tiny Glade.

Before you get tilted in the comments because “Stardew is better in pixel art” please know that I agree with you wholeheartedly & this is just a very cool project I made.”

Following this, fans took to the comments to share their thoughts over this makeshift first-person Stardew.

“I hope Eric Barone sees it,” one comment read.

“If Stardew Valley releases the 3D version of its game, it is going to break the internet. You gotta send it to him. I hope he will work with you on it.”

“Dude, what?! You even edited the footstep sounds to change when you stepped on grass for a second. Insane!” Another added.

So there you have it! We may not have an official or playable 3D Stardew Valley but there is no denying that, if it did happen, it would need to take inspiration from this project.
