Prime Video is producing a new Tomb Raider live-action TV show, featuring Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner as Lara Croft. But who else stars in the show, and what roles do they play?
In addition to Turner as Croft, the Tomb Raider show features other big names like Harry Potter’s Jason Isaacs and Avatar’s Sigourney Weaver, among others.
Read on to see who’s who in the upcoming TV show. But note that the only image from the TV series released so far is of Turner as Croft. The images for other actors in the show come from their previous projects or official headshots.
The Tomb Raider show doesn’t have a release date, but is now in production.
Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the creator, writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner of the Tomb Raider series, alongside Chad Hodge as co-showrunner and executive producer.
Jonathan Van Tulleken (Shogun, Dope Thief) is the director and executive producer.
As for the game series, The Game Awards in December 2025 brought news of two new Tomb Raider games, including a remake of the 1996 game called Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis coming in 2026 and a new game called Tomb Raider: Catalyst in 2027. These games will feature Alix Wilton Regan in the role of Lara Croft, taking over for Camilla Luddington.
Sophie Turner as Lara Croft
Sophie Turner, who starred on Game of Thrones as Sansa Stark, plays the lead role of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider show. Prime Video released a first-look image of Turner as Croft on January 15.
For her preparation, Turner recently said she has been training up to eight hours a day, five days a week, since February 2025, to physically prepare for the demanding role.
She has also been playing the old games and reading the Tomb Raider comics, but she has avoided watching the Tomb Raider movies starring Angelina Jolie so that she can put her own unique spin on the character.
Turner follows not only Jolie but also Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander, who played Croft in 2018’s Tomb Raider movie.
Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay
Harry Potter and The White Lotus actor Jason Isaacs will play Atlas DeMornay in the Tomb Raider TV show. He is Lara’s uncle.
Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis
Academy Award-nominated actor Sigourney Weaver, known for her roles in the Alien and Avatar franchises, will play Evelyn Wallis.
Wallis is described as a “mysterious, high-flying woman who is keen to exploit Lara’s talents.”
Bill Paterson as Winston
Scottish actor Bill Paterson plays Winston, the Croft family butler, in the Tomb Raider show. Paterson is a veteran actor known for his roles in The Witches, Miss Potter, and How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, among countless other roles spanning a decades-long career in Hollywood. Tomb Raider isn’t his first video game project, as Paterson played Ackerson’s father in the Halo show.
Also of note is that Paterson appeared in nine episodes of Fleabag alongside Waller-Bridge, the creator of the Tomb Raider show.
Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip
Actor Martin Bobb-Semple plays Zip in the Tomb Raider show. He is “Lara Croft’s long-standing tech support and friend.”
Bobb-Semple is perhaps best known for his recurring roles on All American: Homecoming and One of Us is Lying.
Jack Bannon as Gerry
Jack Bannon played Gerry on the Tomb Raider show. Gerry is described as “Lara’s personal pilot and snack collector.”
Bannon’s best-known role is that of Alfred Pennyworth in the DC TV show Pennyworth. He’s also appeared in the TV show Pulse and the movie The Imitation Game.
John Heffernan as David
Actor John Hefferman plays David in Tomb Raider. David is described as an “exhausted government official who finds himself tangled up in Lara’s unusual world.”
Heffernman is best known for portraying Jaggers in 13 episodes of the TV show Dickensian. He also had roles in Crooked House, Official Secrets, and Eye in the Sky.

Celia Imrie as Francine
Celia Imrie plays Francine on the Tomb Raider TV show. Francine is “Head of Advancement at the British Museum, focused solely on raising funds and glasses of champagne,” according to the show’s description.
Imrie is known for her roles in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Imagine Me & You, Calendar Girls, and Frankenstein.
Paterson Joseph as Thomas Warner
Paterson Joseph plays Thomas Warner in the Tomb Raider show. Warner is a “senior government official brought in to clean up an almighty mess.”
Joseph is known for his roles in Wonka, The Beach, and Aeon Flux.
Sasha Luss as Sasha
Sasha Luss probably won’t have to try too hard to remember her character’s name in Tomb Raider, as Sasha Luss will play the character Sasha. She is described as a “fierce, deeply competitive new adversary of Lara’s.”
Luss is known for her roles in Latency, Anna, Sheroes, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
Juliette Motamed as Georgia
Juliette Motamed plays Georgia, a character described as a “devoted, by-the-books curator at the British Museum, dedicated to the ‘proper’ preservation of history,” in the Tomb Raider show.
Motamed played Carina in three episodes of the Halo TV show. She also appeared in Magic Mike’s Last Dance and the TV show Grace.

August Wittgenstein as Lukas
August Wittgenstein plays Lukas in Tomb Raider. Lukas is described as an “illegal raider who shares history with Lara in more ways than one.”
Wittgenstein is known for his roles on the TV shows Faithless, Das Boot, and The Crown.
